About Us...

David Batten is a self taught 'hobby' freelance Illustrator located in regional New South Wales, Australia.

Specialising in vintage/classic Speedway related subject matter, David has been developing his style since 2020 and has sold his illustrations to most Australian states and the USA. 

Being first exposed to speedway racing as a five year old in 1959 by his parents at the old Westmead Speedway in Sydney, he would go on to be a sprintcar competitor in the mid 1980s competing at the Parramatta City Raceway, Liverpool City Raceway, Newcastle Motordrome and Tralee Speedway in Canberra.
